This is one of the easiest and most effective ways to get your core and pelvic floor muscles back online after birth. The simple act of intentionally breathing has a powerful effect on your body and your mind.
With a new baby around, your brain is constantly on high alert and your body responds to that by being held and tense, hyper-aware.
Try building this practice into a regular part of your day- just after feeding baby, after you go to the bathroom or before bed. You don’t need to spend a lot of time here- any focused, intentional breathing will help. But don’t discount this simple practice- it is one of the best gifts you can give your postpartum body.
