Restorative Poses for early postpartum

In the early days postpartum, your body and brain are on high alert! You are super tuned in to your baby’s every need, which can make it hard to turn off your brain and get some much needed rest.

Sometimes doing something more “physical” tricks our brain into letting go a bit more easily and these restorative poses are a super gentle way to allow your body to soften and let go of tension as well.

Try these in bed with your babe beside you or when you’ve got a few minutes of alone time. It doesn’t have to be elaborate or long, but feel free to throw on some soothing music and settle in for some rest.

  • Pillows and/or blankets, eye pillow or folded up face cloth for next level relaxation
