4th Trimester Recovery Essentials:
Module 1 Preview
BED REST (16:38)
Ooooh baby! Your body has a been through the whirlwind of labour and chances are pretty good that your body is feeling a bit sore and stiff (perhaps that’s even an understatement).
Whether this is your first baby or you’ve done the postpartum thing before, you’re probably feeling both tired and wired. Your nervous system is on high alert as you care for your fresh little babe and your body can respond to that by becoming stiff and tense.
This practice focuses on encouraging healing of the muscles impacted from the birthing process as well as tending to those areas of your body that need some love from all that cuddling, holding and feeding your babe.
This class is perfect to do in the comfort of your own bed, at any point after giving birth, but is also a great gentle stretch session any time you need it.
NOTE: Listen to your body and be sure to steer clear of tender areas such as a cesarean scar.
THIngs to have on hand:
A folded up blanket, towel or pillow
